The pass box is an auxiliary equipment of the clean room. It is mainly used for the transfer of small items between the non-clean area and the clean area, so as to reduce the number of door openings in the clean room and minimize the damage to the clean area pollution. In terms of interlocking methods, there are generally two interlocking methods: mechanical interlocking or electronic interlocking. Their working principles are as follows.

⒈Mechanical interlocking device: the internal use of mechanical form to achieve interlocking, when one door is opened, the other door cannot be opened, and the other door must be closed before the other door can be opened.

⒉Electronic interlocking device: the internal use of integrated circuits, electromagnetic locks, control panels, indicator lights, etc. to achieve interlocking, when one of the doors is opened, the door opening indicator of the other door does not light up, indicating that the door cannot be opened, and electromagnetic the lock action realizes interlocking. When the door is closed, the electromagnetic lock of the other door starts to work, and the indicator light will light up, indicating that the other door can be opened.


In terms of functions, there are generally static pass boxes or dynamic pass boxes. The differences between them are as follows.


The static pass box is also called the ordinary pass box. The static pass box means that the airflow inside the pass box is static and there is no airflow. There is no airflow during the item transfer process. It acts as an airlock. The doors cannot be opened at the same time. During the transfer process, only one side door can be opened. After putting in the items, close one side door, and the other side door can be opened. After removing the items, close the door. During the transfer process, the airflow of the rooms on both sides does not cross, and there is no mixed flow phenomenon.


Dynamic pass box means that the airflow inside the pass box is dynamic, and the interior presents self-circulating airflow, clean air is fed in, polluted air is discharged, and the interior of the pass box is kept clean. The dynamic pass box is equipped with a fan and a filter, the fan draws air in, and the filter can filter the air and blow it into the pass box, extruding the polluted air in the pass box to the exhaust port for circulation. The pass box has more air filtration processes and more accessories that provide self-circulating airflow. Therefore, under the same inner size, the outer size of the dynamic pass box is relatively large, and the cost is higher than that of the static pass box, but the effect is also better than a static pass box.


In addition, the dynamic pass box can also be divided into laminar flow pass box and air shower pass box. The laminar flow pass box can provide vertical laminar airflow. The top of the pass box is followed by a fan, a filter, and a uniform flow film. The internal air flow is sent up and down. The air flow rate blown by the uniform flow film is about 0.45m/s, which is in line with laminar airflow. requirements. The air outlet of the air shower pass box is not a uniform flow film, but a circular nozzle. During operation, the clean air filtered by the filter is blown out from the nozzle at a speed of not less than 22m/s, and the dust on the surface of the transferred object is blown off. It is discharged or circulated from the air outlet to the air inlet, filtered by the filter and then sprayed out through the nozzle. This cycle also forms a miniature self-circulating clean environment.


To sum up, the difference between an ordinary static pass box and a dynamic pass box is whether the interior of the pass box can be purified and whether there is air circulation.


Precautions when using the pass box

1. The pass box is suitable for general transportation. During transportation, prevent rain and snow from attacking, so as to avoid damage and rust.

2. The pass box should be stored in a warehouse where the temperature is -10℃~+40℃, the relative humidity is not more than 80%, and there is no corrosive gas such as acid and alkali.

3. When unpacking, it should be operated in a civilized manner, and there should be no rude or brutal operation to avoid personal injury.


Operation specification of pass box

1.Wipe the items to be delivered with 0.5% peracetic acid or 5% iodophor solution.

2.Open the outer door of the pass box, quickly place the items to be delivered, spray the pass box with 0.5% peracetic acid, and close the outer door of the pass box.

3. Turn on the UV lamp in the pass box, and irradiate the items to be delivered with UV light for no less than 15 minutes.

4.Notify the experimenter or staff in the barrier system to open the inner do or of the pass box and take out the items.

5.Close the inner door of the pass box.
