Today, I will tell you about the working principle and technical characteristics of one of our main products, supercritical carbon dioxide extraction equipment

 

Supercritical extraction devices can be divided into two types. One is research and analysis, which is mainly used for the analysis of small amounts of substances or to provide data for production. The second is preparation production type, which is mainly used in batch or mass production.

 

The supercritical extraction device can be divided into eight parts: extractant supply system, low temperature system, high pressure system, extraction system, separation system, modifier supply system, circulation system and computer control system. Specifically, it includes carbon dioxide injection pump, extractor, separator, compressor, carbon dioxide storage tank, chiller and other equipment. Because the extraction process is carried out under high pressure, the pressure resistance performance of the equipment and the whole pipeline system is required to be high. The microcomputer automatic monitoring of the production process can greatly improve the safety and reliability of the system and reduce the operation cost

 

1) Supercritical fluid CO2 extraction and chemical extraction

 

(1) It can be extracted near room temperature (35-40 ℃) and shrouded in CO2 gas, which effectively prevents the oxidation and escape of heat sensitive substances. Therefore, all the components of medicinal plants are maintained in the extract, and the substances with high boiling point, low volatility and easy pyrolysis can be extracted below its boiling point temperature;

 

(2) SFE is the cleanest extraction method. Since no organic solvent is used in the whole process, the extract has no residual solvent. At the same time, it also prevents the toxicity of the extraction process to human body and environmental pollution. It is 100% pure natural;

 

(3) Extraction and separation are combined into one. When co2-scf full of dissolved matter flows through the separator, due to the pressure drop, CO2 and extract quickly become two phases (gas-liquid separation) and immediately separate, which not only has high extraction efficiency, but also has less energy consumption and saves cost;

 

(4) CO2 is an inactive gas. There is no chemical reaction in the extraction process, and it is a non combustible gas. It is tasteless, odorless and non-toxic, so it has good safety;

 

(5) CO2 is cheap, high purity, easy to obtain, and recycled in the production process, so as to reduce the cost;

 

(6) Both pressure and temperature can be used to regulate the extraction process. The purpose of extraction is achieved by changing the temperature or pressure. The pressure is fixed and the material can be separated by changing the temperature; On the contrary, the temperature is fixed and the pressure is reduced to separate the extract, so the process is simple and easy to master, and the extraction speed is fast.
