Clean Bench Precautions and Maintenance

As the most common air purification equipment  in clean room and laboratory, the purification clean bench  can provide a highly clean environment for specific areas. Today, we will introduce the precautions and daily maintenance measures during use.

Precautions for use:

1. Clean and wipe the clean bench before use to prevent the presence of pollutants or leftover chemicals.

2. All goods required during the use of the clean bench should be placed in the clean bench in advance for UV light sterilization and disinfection.

3. Do not start working immediately after the UV sterilization light stops running. Turn on the clean bench and run it for 30 minutes before putting it back into use.

4. Try to minimize the placement of goods in the clean bench, and necessary goods should also be disinfected and sterilized before use.

5. When staff operating  must wear clean clothes, masks, hats, and gloves.

6.If liquid drips on the clean bench should be wiped immediately to prevent corrosion of the clean bench or contamination caused by volatilization.

7. After use thoroughly clean the clean bench and turn off all power sources.

Daily maintenance can extend the service life of clean bench and achieve maximum purification effect. So it is essential to meet the following requirements:

1.Regularly replace the air filter . Long time non replacement can cause the air filter to become clogged and unable to continue its air purification function. The surface will accumulate dust and bacteria, and if dropped, it will cause reverse pollution. The filter replacement cycle is generally 3-6 months. If the cleanliness of the working environment is ordinary, it can be replaced within 3 months; if the cleanliness of the working environment is good, it can be replaced within 6 months. Depending on the actual situation, if polluting and corrosive chemicals are used in the clean bench, the replacement cycle needs to be shortened accordingly.

2.If the wind speed is too low during normal operation of the equipment, the air filter should be replaced. Before replacing the filter, check the sealing of the filter, whether the filter element and filter frame are sealed, whether the filter element is damaged, confirm no errors before installation.

3.If the normal wind speed cannot be achieved after replacing the air filter, you can check whether the voltage is abnormal.

4.When the ultraviolet sterilization light is turned on and running, it will release ozone, so it should be ventilated for a period of time before use to prevent harm to personnel health.

5. When cleaning the workbench in daily life, be careful not to neglect the cleaning of the ultraviolet sterilization light. UV sterilization light use short wave ultraviolet radiation to achieve sterilization function. If the UV sterilization light is not wiped for a long time, dust will accumulate on the surface of the light tube, affecting the sterilization effect.
