The Thailand project is still being installed due to limited installation space on the roof.
We have placed some control boxes for the cleanroom air conditioning system under the outdoor canopy.
Inside the control box, there are not only control circuits, PLC controllers, contactors, but also high-power electrical equipment such as air supply fans and heaters.
Therefore, when choosing cables, we must consider the maximum rated power of the control box current and use cables of matching specifications.
In addition, if the length of the cable is too long, it is necessary to increase the capacity of the cable to offset the heat loss caused by the long cable length.
The installation requirements for the distribution box are:
1. The distribution box shall not be installed in damp, steam, or corrosive places. It is generally installed behind the door or on the upper part of the shoe cabinet near the entrance where it is easy to open and close.
2. The installation height of the distribution box should be 1.5m above the ground.
3. The distribution box should be equipped with a leakage circuit breaker, with a leakage action current not exceeding 30mA, overload protection function, and multiple outgoing lines to control the lighting and cleanroom air conditioning sockets respectively. The circuit should ensure the normal use of the load.
4. The selection of the diameter and cross-section of lighting and heating load lines should ensure that the safe flow rate of the wires is greater than the sum of the rated currents of all electrical appliances in the branch line, and the capacity of each branch line should not exceed the capacity of the incoming line.
5. Within the distribution box, a neutral wire and a protective earth wire (PE wire) busbar should be separately installed. The neutral wire and protective wire should be connected to the busbar without twisting, and should be numbered.
6. The leakage switches and air switches inside the distribution box are arranged neatly and labeled with the names and numbers of the electrical circuits controlling lighting, cleanroom air conditioning, and sockets.
7. The distribution box should be installed flat, firm, reliable and safe.
8. The incoming and outgoing routes of the distribution box should be protected by inserting wire protection tubes.
9. After the completion of electrical work in the later stage, sockets, switches, lamps, etc. should be inspected and tested.
