Air Conditioning System Design Process

The air conditioning design mainly includes the refrigerant system, wind system and water system in the air conditioning system. Each system has its own role in the air conditioning system, and its design has its own characteristics.

1. The chilled water system mainly plays the role of carrying cold water, transporting cold water taken by the cold water mechanism to the end of the water system, and the end will exchange heat between the chilled water and the indoor air, so as to achieve refrigeration.

2. The refrigerant system is to transport the high-pressure liquid from the exit side of the condenser to the end, and the refrigerant is vaporized at the end through the throttle, and then relies on the gasification for endothermic refrigeration and heat exchange with the indoor air.

3. The air system is to evenly send the treated cold air to each area to cool the room, which directly affects the comfort of the air conditioning system.

Air conditioning system design process: determine building type and use → room cooling load calculation → air conditioning water/refrigerant system design → air conditioning air system design.

According to the use, scale, energy situation, room area, initial investment and operating costs, comfort to determine the type of central air conditioning system.

Water system Design:

The water system can be divided into chilled water system and cooling water system.

The chilled water system is a system that directly supplies the end to achieve the purpose of refrigeration, and is generally designed with the water supply at 7℃ and the return water at 12℃. The design of chilled water system mainly includes the following points: the end arrangement, the selection of chiller, the selection of pump, the selection of pipeline, the configuration of valves and accessories.

Wind system design:

The air conditioning system consists of air supply system, exhaust system and smoke exhaust system. Air supply system includes fresh air system, end air supply system, etc. The exhaust system is used in occasions where there are more people, there is pollution or there are certain requirements for air quality.

Accessory configuration: The main thermometer, pressure gauge, collector/separator, flow meter, sensor, expansion tank and so on. The thermometer can be installed at the inlet and outlet of the equipment (chiller and important end, etc.) to show the working condition of the equipment. The pressure gauge is used to detect the pressure at the inlet and outlet of the equipment, and visually see the working pressure of the equipment. The expansion tank is installed at the highest point in the water system to prevent the water shortage due to thermal expansion and contraction of the water in the water system.
