Focuses On Professional Cleanroom Project And Pharmaceutical Cleanroom Equipment.
Cleanroom stainless steel furniture is a kind of special functional furniture specially designed for clean environments (such as medical operating rooms, electronic workshops, laboratories, pharmaceutical factories, etc.), and it needs to meet strict requirements such as high cleanliness, corrosion resistance, easy cleaning, dust-proof and antibacterial. The following is a detailed analysis from aspects such as core requirements, common types, design key points, material selection, and cleaning and maintenance:
The core requirements for stainless steel furniture in cleanrooms
1.1 The surface is clean with no dead corners
Avoid structures that are prone to dust accumulation, such as unevenness, gaps, and right-angle edges. The arc transition is adopted, with no exposed welding and a full welding and polishing process. The surface roughness requirement is ≤Ra0.8μm (Mirror polishing can reach Ra0.2μm or less).
If arc-shaped skirting boards are used at the connection between the cabinet body and the ground, and embedded handles are used instead of exposed handles in the drawers, dust accumulation points can be reduced.
1.2 Corrosion-resistant and disinfected
It needs to withstand frequent disinfection and sterilization operations (such as wiping with alcohol, sodium hypochlorite, peracetic acid or ultraviolet radiation), and the material is preferably 304L/316L stainless steel (with low carbon content and stronger resistance to intergranular corrosion).
The surface can undergo electrolytic polishing or passivation treatment to form a dense oxide film, enhancing corrosion resistance.
1.3 Stable structure and dust-proof
Adopt the overall welding process (without using screw splicing) to avoid the accumulation of dirt at the screw holes and seams.
The bottom of the cabinet can be designed as a floor-standing fully welded base or a hanging bracket (for easy floor cleaning). When the height from the ground is ≥10cm, dust-proof skirting boards should be set up.
1.4 Functionality and Safety
Meet the requirements of specific scenarios: for example, laboratory furniture needs to be equipped with reagent racks and anti-tipping drawers; Medical furniture should be equipped with a sterile item storage area and a fixed position for sharp instrument boxes.
The corners are rounded (R≥3mm) to prevent personnel collisions and reduce dust retention at the same time.
2. Commonly used stainless steel furniture in clean rooms
2.1 Medical cleanroom furniture
Instrument cabinet/medicine cabinet: Used for storing sterile instruments and medicines. It adopts laminar flow design (top in and bottom out) and is equipped with an internal ultraviolet lamp for sterilization. The drawers are equipped with anti-drop devices and the cabinet doors are fitted with sealing rings. When turned off, a slight negative pressure is formed to prevent dust.
Treatment table/surgical side cabinet: The desktop is made of 316L stainless steel (resistant to body fluid corrosion), with a raised edge of 5cm to prevent liquid leakage. The built-in power socket is equipped with a waterproof cover. The countertop can be integrated with the stainless steel sink (rounded corners, no dead corners).
2.2 Electronic/Food cleanroom furniture
Material rack/tool cabinet: Open-layer design, with anti-static surface treatment (such as spraying conductive coating) to prevent static dust collection. It is equipped with universal wheels and brakes at the bottom, making it convenient to move and ensuring stable positioning.
Clean bench: The desktop is embedded with HEPA high-efficiency filters, which, in combination with the stainless steel casing, form a local clean area. Guide grooves are provided at the edges to prevent liquid from dripping onto the ground or the interior of the cabinet.
2.3 Laboratory-specific furniture
Fume hood: The cabinet body is made of 316 stainless steel (acid and alkali resistant), and the inner lining is PP plate to enhance corrosion resistance. The operation port is equipped with a stainless steel deflector plate to control the direction of the airflow and prevent the leakage of harmful gases.
Laboratory workbench: The countertop can be coated with a stainless steel anti-corrosion layer (thickness ≥2mm), and the cabinet under the workbench is equipped with a chemical safety cabinet (with explosion-proof lock and leakage tray).
