In this article, I’ll share one of our inquiries from Indian customer.

He asked us about a small cold room. The cold room is an independent space for storing medical reagents, vaccines, food, and chemical raw materials. The requirements must have a high degree of safety and stability, and cleanliness. In another sense, it is also a low-temperature modular clean room for storage and turnover of items.

A complete cold room includes an insulation system, a cooling system and an electrical system. Cold room has strict control over temperature and humidity. We use double-sided color steel and 10cm polyurethane flame retardant thermal insulation cold storage board for four walls, ceiling, and floor. We also choose doors with good thermal insulation and cold insulation performance. Through the control of low temperature, to prevent the breeding of microorganisms and bacteria, to avoid cross-contamination. We installed a 3 HP totally-enclosed unit with a 4.3kw high-efficiency cold air blower and automatic microcomputer system temperature control cabinet. The cooling unit can also ensure the circulation of air in the cold room. It should be noted that the tightness of the cold room must be good to ensure that there will be no leakage of internal air and the entry of external air leading to a waste of energy. So the glue we chose was the sealant special for cold room.

According to different applications and temperature requirements, we will use different thickness panels. Cold room temperature is about -5℃ to +10℃, and panel thickness is 50mm, 75mm, 100mm; freezer storage temperature is about -25℃ to + 18℃, panel thickness is 150mm, 180mm, 200mm; quick freeze temperature is about -40℃ to +18℃, panel thickness is 150mm, 180mm, 200mm. Fruit, vegetables, and dry food storage room, the temperature is about 0℃~-5℃; medicine, pastry, and chemical raw materials room, the temperature is about 0℃~-5℃; fish and meat storage room, the temperature is about -18℃~-25℃; low-temperature freezer, the temperature is about -25℃~-60℃.
