1. Water supply layout of biosafety laboratory
Animal Level 3 Biosafety (ABSL-
3) and Level 4 Biosafety (BSL-

The drainage system of the general area and the polluted area should be separated. The biological laboratory, especially the fourth-level biological laboratory, the drainage system of heat sterilization (120℃, 30min) and the drainage system of chlorine sterilization should also be separated.
Level 3 and 4 biosafety laboratories shall not have floor drains except for shower rooms, animal rooms, dissection rooms, and corridors where large animals stay.
Drainage from the protection zone of the tertiary and tertiary biosafety laboratory should be collected through a special pipeline and sterilized in a separate device.
High-efficiency filters should be installed at the vent pipe outlet of the drainage system of the third- and fourth-stage biosafety laboratory, and two-stage high-efficiency filters should be installed in the fourth and third animal levels.
The drainage pipes of the third- and fourth-level biosafety laboratories should be clearly installed, and the fourth-level drainage pipelines should be equipped with transparent casings.
If the drainage volume is very small, the drainage can be discharged into the container without a drainage pipe, and then sent out after being sterilized by an autoclave.
3. Gas supply in biosafety laboratory
The special gas in the laboratory is supplied by high-pressure gas cylinders. The gas cylinders are located outside the laboratory and are transported to various outlets through pipes. The gas cylinders must not enter the laboratory.
