This article briefly introduces some of the equipment required in the sterile purification pharmaceutical cleanroom, as follows.

1. Air supply end

The end of the air supply is the air supply port with a sub-high-efficiency filter or a high-efficiency filter.

(1) Air supply end with diffuser plate

The diffuser plate is preferably made of aluminum alloy or stainless steel. It is not very good to spray plastic or paint on the surface of the steel plate, because the external spray material is easy to peel off and rust.

The fan filter unit is equivalent to the high-efficiency filter air outlet plus the fan, but the unit uses a thin filter without a partition plate, which makes the unit appear thinner and easier to install. The fans in the unit can be either centrifugal fans or axial fans. This air supply unit can be installed individually or multiplely on a special frame to form a partial or whole room unidirectional flow.

In the use of this unit, attention should be paid to the superposition of fan noise. If the fan performance is not good, the total noise may exceed the standard. Secondly, due to a fan to a filter, once a fan fails, it will have an adverse impact on the whole, and increase the workload of maintenance.

2. Zero leakage filter return (exhaust) air outlet

For exhaust air containing dangerous biological aerosols, or return air that needs to be recycled, a zero-leakage negative pressure high-efficiency exhaust device must be installed on the tuyere. The high-efficiency filter is installed immediately after the on-site leak inspection confirms that there is no leakage during installation; the installation frame of the exhaust device is a leak-free structure, not sealed by mechanical compression.

3. Self-cleaning long-acting fresh air purification unit

In order to overcome the large resistance of conventional two-stage or three-stage filtration fresh air units, short and scattered replacement cycles, and complicated maintenance workload, a self-cleaning long-acting fresh air purification unit has been developed. It consists of an automatic clearing type coarse-efficiency filter (the clearing time can be set, which is equivalent to the efficiency of the national standard coarse-efficiency type 1) and an automatic replacement type medium-efficiency filter (the filter material is changed once a year, and the air volume is above 6000m3/h, about 2 times) and bag-type or frame-type high-efficiency or sub-efficiency filter section.

The coarse effect in the unit has only the initial resistance (about 8Pa) due to the frequent removal of surface dust, and the intermediate effect is automatically replaced when it reaches the set final resistance (about 80-100Pa), so its resistance is low. In this two-level protection, the life of the third level will be longer than the conventional one. You can choose two or three.

4. Muffler

A muffler is a device used to reduce noise in aerodynamic ducts.

There are several types of mufflers including resistive, resistive, resonance and impedance, and impedance combined.

(1)Resistive muffler

The muffler of the purification system cannot use glass fiber wool and foam plastic. The former is the obvious source of dust. The glass wool cloth was blown and the blown glass fibers were scattered all over the workshop. (3)Resonance muffler

Resonance muffler uses the principle of resonance sound absorption to promote the loss of sound energy in the pipeline and muffle the sound.

Perforated mufflers and micro-plate mufflers are both resonant mufflers, the latter suitable for use in purification systems.

(4)Compound muffler

The combination of resistive and resistive mufflers can obtain better noise reduction effect in a wide frequency range, and there are also combinations of resistive mufflers and resonant mufflers.

The following points should be paid attention to when installing the muffler on the pipe section:

①The flow rate of the system pipeline where the muffler is installed should be controlled to gradually decrease from the machine room to the use room, from the front of the muffler to the back of the muffler, and do not increase the speed due to sharp turns.

②The muffler should be installed on the pipe section with stable airflow as far as possible. When the flow rate of the main pipe is not large, it should be installed as close to the fan as possible; when the flow rate of the main pipe is too large, in order to avoid the noise of airflow regeneration, it should be installed on the branch pipes respectively.

③The muffler should not be connected in series, which is not conducive to noise reduction. It can be installed on the main and branch pipes respectively, or can be installed in sections on the same pipe section.

④Mufflers must be installed on both the supply and return air pipes.
