3. Extraction and separation are combined into one. When the CO2 fluid of saturated dissolved matter enters the separator, due to the decrease of pressure or the change of temperature, CO2 and extract quickly become two phases (gas-liquid separation) and immediately separate, which not only has high extraction efficiency, but also has less energy consumption, improves the production efficiency and reduces the cost;

 

4. CO2 is a kind of inert gas. There is no chemical reaction in the extraction process, and it is a non combustible gas. It is tasteless, odorless, non-toxic and very safe;

 

5. CO2 gas has the advantages of low price, high purity, easy preparation, and can be reused in production, thus effectively reducing the cost;

 

6. Both pressure and temperature can be the parameters to adjust the extraction process. The purpose of extraction can be achieved by changing the temperature and pressure. The fixed pressure can also separate the substances by changing the temperature; On the contrary, the temperature is fixed and the extract is separated by reducing the pressure. Therefore, the process is simple and easy to master, and the extraction speed is fast.

About extraction technology:

 

The principle of supercritical CO2 fluid extraction (SFE) separation process is based on the relationship between the solubility of supercritical fluid and its density, that is, the influence of pressure and temperature on the solubility of supercritical fluid. In the supercritical state, the supercritical fluid is contacted with the substance to be separated to selectively extract the components of polarity, boiling point and molecular weight in turn. Of course, the extract obtained corresponding to each pressure range cannot be single, but the conditions can be controlled to obtain the proportion of mixed components, and then the supercritical fluid can be changed into ordinary gas by means of decompression and heating, and the extracted substances can be completely or basically precipitated, so as to achieve the purpose of separation and purification. Therefore, the supercritical CO2 fluid extraction process is a combination of extraction and separation processes.

 

Supercritical fluid extraction technology is a new separation technology in modern chemical separation. Supercritical CO2 extraction uses CO2 as solvent. The density and dielectric constant of CO2 fluid in supercritical state are large, the solubility of substances is large, and changes sharply with the change of pressure and temperature. Therefore, it is not only selective for the solubility of some substances, but also very easy to separate solvents and extracts. Supercritical CO2 extraction is especially suitable for the extraction of fat soluble, high boiling point and heat sensitive substances. At the same time, it is also suitable for the fine separation of different components, that is, supercritical refining. Supercritical CO2 is used as solvent to extract and purify many products such as biology, food and medicine.
